Titusville Teacher accused of having sex with student.?

"TITUSVILLE, Fla. -- School officials placed a Jackson Middle School teacher on paid administrative leave on Tuesday after she was found in a van with a 16-year-old student. "

"Janet Lea Hughes, 32, of Viera, was arrested Monday night after two undercover Titusville police officers found her with a student in a van parked at First Presbyterian Church."

I am one of Hughes students, and I was surprised to see this in an email one of my friends sent me. I never saw her as someone who would do this, rather, just as a teacher. Although I've accepted the fact that this happened, I still need answers.
Has this ever happened to you or a friend, and how did you deal with it?

It doesn't sup rise me.I think female teachers think they have a free pass when it comes to boys.Why not? There are more cases of this phenomenon occurring every day and the teachers are not being prosecuted,but merely getting a slap on the wrist.There is a double standard.

I don't know what is worst, a female teacher getting nookie from a 16yr old boy, or the fact that undercover police are regularly looking inside vehicle parked at churches.

This has the ear mark of being wrong on so many levels.

TEACHERS, go to singles bars if you need nookie, leave the students alone.

That's just great to hear after hearing about those poor kids who were molested by catholic preists, all gay yick . I bet 1,000-1 that kid's not going to sue though, at least she's not terrorizing him like those catholic priests, amen to that.
Yeah, grandpa has a point. Wonder if those undercover officers were just getting back from a night of drinking, mad that no woman would get with them for 1,000,000 dollars, literally, probably jealous, who knows

I was never fortunate enough to bone the teacher while I was in school. Personally, i think guys who turn them in after willfully having sex with them are idiots.
