to tell you the truth, I give 10 percent of my income to help the poor. So, if I had 10,000 to give away, I would have earned 100,000. Or if I had 10,000 that I earned, I would give away 1000 of it. But it would be a disservice to just hand it over to a homeless person, they would get robbed. I work through charitable agencies.

There is an interesting movie coming out about a homeless guy that they made rich by giving him lots of money. It didn't actually go to well for him. He spent it all on a big, new truck, and then got a "wife" all of the sudden, and lost almost everything he had been handed.

I'd do something to help the homeless. I probably wouldn't do much for an individual homeless person because I believe the money would be more effectively used in conjunction with others on a larger scale. In the past, I actually took a year off work to volunteer my time with homeless people so I think I'm being honest about my willingness to help. I would keep a bit of the money for myself, though, because at this point I need to make some major repairs or I'll be in serious danger of becoming homeless myself.

10000 isn't a lot of money now and days. But yes I would try to help. Obviously I couldn't help everyone. And truth be told I'd want to keep some of the money I could sure used it about now. This sounds weird but there are certain people I would help more than others, like homeless people that I've met. I dunno why would choose these people there's about three, there's just something about them that says they're more deserving than a lot people who are millioniers.

I would not help them tell the truth. I would help them lie to get more money. $10,000 sounds liek a lot but that's like 3 months rent in NYC so !

$10,000 is only around £5,000 so you would not be able to afford to give much to the homeless. If you only has £5,000 then you could not afford to live in New York for long anyway.

I would buy them new shoes, some new clothes and a meal. I wouldn't give them cash. Too many homeless are self-medicating mental patients that the hospitals just put out on the street.
