Um. If you're a teacher, I'm the Queen of England. "surface are of a cube"? "dollares"? Multiple question marks and exclamation marks? Riiight.

See, if you'd been honest and posted these in the homework help section, you might've gotten some useful answers. As it is, you're just gonna hafta fend for yourself, darlin'.

12 ft sides of cube. finding surface area - first find surface area of each side. square footage of 12 foot sides will be 12 squared or 12 X 12 = 144. next take solution and multiply if 6 times 144 X 6. for each side of cube, six sides. solution is 884. your surface area it 884 feet. explain that you are painting a cube shaped vessel with 12 foot sides. and need to know how much paint to get, therefore much find out how much surface will have to cover.
8 cans of soup for .79cents. 8 X .79 = 6.32 take solution and subtract from price total. 9.88 - 6.32 = 1.56 take that solution and divide by 4 cans of mushroom soup. 1.56/4 = .39 explain that you need one more can of mushroom soup to finish the casserole but you only have 50 cents left. is fifty cents enough for another can. yes because they are only 39 cents.

youre not a teacher but i am bored so i play along

well to solve the tomato soup one tell your students to take
$0 .79 and multiply it by the number of cans of tomato soup(8) which is $6.32 then take the total she spent ($9.88) and subtract $6.32 to get $3.56 then divide that Number by the number of cans of mushroom soup she bought (4) to get $0.89 for each can of mushroom soup.

I agree with the previous person. Teachers are entitled with the knowledge to be teachers in the certain subjects. I'm pretty sure that if you were a teacher, you would have the knowledge of what to say. Can't fool me either.

If you are a teacher, I would expect that you would use manipulatives to allow the students to actually see what they are dealing with. If you are a student, I might suggest that you are trying to manipulate us. Go get a copy of mathematica or mathcad to show you the processes. Maybe that will be more succsesful.

I don't think you are a teacher, you are a student posting your homework questions. You don't fool me.
