The answer to this question is different for person to person. We exist therefore we must decide our own destiny, purpose, and overall impact on this world. My personal purpose to life is to try and make the world a better place for others to live in. Try and make your purpose to live a positive one.

80% of humanity, the religious folks, don't need to ask the meaning of life, the church tells them....the supernatural explanation. But the rest of us can't swallow religious dogma, because there's no evidence. Nobody can prove that there life after death, that people are tortured or rewarded after life or that there's invisible spirits running around.

I've come to two conclusions recently:

1. Life has no meaning
2. Life has a million meanings.

First, there's a certainty that death and annihilation awaits not only you, but the Earth in general. It's an astonomical certainty that our sun will supernova and leave the earth a burnt crisp, not to mention all the other extinction level events around the corner.

Second, the million things that give us meaning are the pleasurable experiences we can conjure up during the short period we are here on the earth, in the form of the relationships we have with our kids and other people, and the 'housekeeping' types of purposes. What i mean by that are the curing disease, ending hunger, improving literacy, reducing crime, preventing war, helping other kinds of things.

So the bottom line is, we only have a temporary meaning to life, to reduce pain and increase pleasure, other than that everything is lost to oblivion.

To be or not to be? "To be" is temporary and "not to be" is inevitable.....

Well... ask an English teacher and I'm sure they will tell you that you have to find what makes you whole and complete and satisfied with yourself blah blah blah what a pack of junk.

That is just an excuse to make them look like they have an answer meanwhile that is generic and could be different for everyone.

It clearly is to find God and seek your soul salvation before it is forever too late. But its all your choice and no one is forcing you to do anything.

Say haha but when you're on your deathbed at age 30 or 65 or 95 you will wish differently when you enter the unknown.

We exsist because we were born here. Our purpose is to be fruitful and enjoy life everyday whatever you choose to do. But there are conseqeunces pain and tradegies you'll have to suffer as a payback for being here and then theres death if we were meant to live any longer they would have made us as robots. Other than that don't eat fatty foods take too many drugs and most importantly don't break the law.

My purpose in life is whatever I choose for it to be. The Creator/Universal Intelligence/Mother Earth or God or whatever Divine power you believe in gave us the choice and power to choose the lives we want to have. Thus, your purpose in life is whatever you want it to be. My purpose in life is to live it the best way I see fit for myself without intentionally harming any living things. My purpose in life is to enjoy it to the fullest, to cultivate happiness within myself and to spread the joy around.

People can CLAIM they know the answer, but without proper evidence (the only foundation for knowledge), I feel it is to learn and progress.
