Xbox 360 for sure, unless there are exclusive titles on the PS3 that you must have.

PS3: Internet Browser, Music, Photo, Video, Gaming, Excelent Graphics, Blu-Ray, More Memory, Bluetooth, Online Chat, Buddy List, Plug In Any Memory Card, SIXAXIS Controller, Remote Play To Hook Up Your PSP Wirelessly, Playstation Market Place With Cheap Downloads, And So Much More. So it costs a little more mines been down the steps and has had a bad life it still works. Not To mention A Good Heater.
XBOX360: Music, Photos, Good Graphics, Good Games, Good Heater, Nice DVD Quality, Good XBOX Live, But It Over Heats And Has Many Hardware Problems (The Red Light Of Death.

I personally would recommend an Xbox 360. But, I think it depends on what kind of gamer you are. If you are a gamer who like to be social and play online, then the 360 is for you. The two features that sold me on the 360 is the fact that I can chat with my boyfriend privately, even when he is playing Crackdown and I'm playing Oblivion. Can't do that on the PS3 unless you are in the same game. I also like the fact that I can play my own MP3s ingame, another feature that is lacking on the PS3. And if you ask me, there really isn't much difference on graphics on an HDTV.

It really all depends. If you have an HD TV, or are planning on getting one soon, get a PS3. It looks much better then 360. One of the bigger reasons to get a PS3 is blu-ray capabilities. I have seen a number of them and they look a little better then HDDVD's. And HDDVD will ultimately fail because it doesn't have nearly as much studio support from Sony. Additionally, unless you get a 360 elite, you won't be able to get 1080p on your TV (the best, or true HD. Current 360 supports 1080i)
If you don't have an HDTV, the 360 is just fine. PS3 is simply better (free online play, better graphics, better downloads). But you have to pay for it, and have the ability to apreciate it.
Hard-drive space? PS3 is higher. And it supports STAT drives (you can get as high as 500 gigabyte drives off of ebay for 1-2 hundred bucks). 360 elite has 120 gigabytes.
Oh, one more thing. If you want HDDVD on your 360, it will cost the same as the PS3. And it won't look as good unless you spend an extra $100 to get the HDMI capable 360.

Buy a 360 400$ version. This has a better online gameplay and the PS3 has the same graphics as ps3 if it isnt on a high definition t.v.

XBOX 360 it seems like developers didn't use the extra time to polish up the graphics for the PS3.

Go X-box 360, PS3 is not only way too expensive, but games really didn't start coming out for it yet. 360, on the other hand, has plenty of good games for it already. I want to get one myself!

Neither. Take your $500 and go invest in a library of classic literature. Spend some time developing your mind instead of wasting away in front of the TV.
