i had a lil debate with my physics teacher and he pointed out that it was impossible to make, because u had to fuse krypton and that other one i can't remember its name right?

Red kryptonite is impossible to make (although Lex Luthor might have a formula for it), but green kryptonite can be manufactured. Red kryptonite can be found in caves and on certain planets.

Synthetic kryptonite (usually the green or red variety) has been successfully produced by Lex Luthor, Batman, and Ra's al Ghul in the comics. It has proven to be less powerful than genuine kryptonite, to be extremely difficult to create, and to have a short half-life that renders it useless after a short period of time. In the Elseworlds story Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Green Arrow wounds Superman with a synthetic kryptonite arrow, allowing Batman to defeat him. Bruce Wayne notes it was very expensive to develop. Superman III featured synthetic kryptonite that altered Superman's personality.

This is what they mean...In Superman II, Lex Luthor (played by Gene Hackman I think) had a case of Kryptonite. That case was labelled Sodium Boron.......etc etc.Basically it gave the written chemical formula for kryptonite. A mineral with that same formula was found in a cave in Serbia.
Although the REAL stuff is not green or radioactive.

Actually, the chemical in question is sodium lithium boron silicate hydroxide
This was the label on the box that Lex Luthor stole from the museum. It is the composition of a mineral found in Siberia.
In the movie though, the substance was radioactive. In real life it is not. It is merely a coincidence that the movie used this composition. It has no radioactive properties in real life.

It's not really kryptonite, as it doesn't contain all 1 of the necessary elements (I think its K)
