You should never ever change the subscripts when balancing an equation. Changing the subscript changes the formula and the substance. For example the formula for water is H20 by changing the subscript in O from a 1 to a 2, you have hydrogen peroxide H2O2. You should only change the coefficients so the answer is to your question is B false.
