In the first main room, after entering, there is a painting on the wall near the exit to the next room. It is a large painting and it has an aqueduct/bridge in it with a countryside setting. Also, the caption with it talks about that artist spending time in Spoleto, Italy and using that as influence in this painting. I am wanting to find out who this artist was and what is the name of this painting. Thanks!

This is definately not a Monet. it is the first room once you get the audio tour. same room as the two portraits that are part of the audio tour, but it is a big painting with an aquaduct, not just some random bridge.

A Google search was useless, so you might want to call MFAH and ask them. Lots of artists lived, and worked, and were probably influenced by the Umbria area, including Spoleto.

If this is the one you're talking about then it is Monet.
