I heard somebody on the radio (some expert) say that if we act now, we could get control of all existing nukes (you know, some have disappeared from Russia) and seriously reduce this threat for a reasonable price. But it's not a priority so it probably won't happen....

I may sound cynical, but i think thats exactly how our race will end. If it's not the slow death of the Earth from pollution and the over-use of natural resources, then it's some pissed off dictator (or crazy President) that will throw the world into nuclear war. As long as there are the means to have these weapons created, they will always be there. So I think preventing them is hopeless.

I am very sure it is. Either by Iran getting the nuclear bomb and sharing it's wealth of knowledge with terrorists or the erosion of the nuclear arsenal the USA possesses. Yearly the USA has to patch their old weapons. This causes radioactive seepage so we are slowly killing ourselves off. I am sure that Russia is in the same predicament as the USA. Sad isn't it, our own technology and science will be the end of human kind.

Yes, and no, we can not stop it. It's the beginning of the end of the human race, and we all just have to accept it my friend.

It won't be prevented....it's coming...soon.
Expect a small scale attack first.....but it's enough to harm a city . (suitcase nuclear explosive)
