a bus travels 55 miles per hour. Misty starts out by bus at 11:45 a.m. to go to the carnival. How many miles does she travel if she arrives at the carnival?

i know it took her 1 hr 30 mins [90mins] but how do i find the miles per hour?

Given what you have here, you can figure out the distance by
Distance = Rate x Time
Distance = 55 miles/hour x 1.5 hours
Distance - 82.5 miles

OK, your given miles per hour - 55. Hours - 1.5 (1 hour 30 is 1 and a half hours).
Miles = mph * hours.
