How many people have driven a hummer for fun in Iraq? These guys look like they're having fun doing it.

My uncle was an MP in Germany during the late stages and after WWII. He claims to have blown many a Jeep engine having fun, trying to hunt rabbits with his M1911, etc. I doubt people have changed that much although I suspect accountability in the Army is much higher now then it was then.
