Lab expierment when we put AlkaSeltzer in a balloon and 5ml of water. Then we tied it up quickly. What is the chemical equation?? PLEASE HELP

The part of alka seltzer active in this reaction is NaHCO3, also known as baking soda.

This compound decomposes to release CO2. That is what fills the balloon.

NaHCO3 == NaOH + CO2
