....they don't just come on and stay on, they dont come on at all!
my tail lights come on with my headlights, I double checked all my fuses (under the dash AND under the hood).
Any ideas?

It's either a bad relay, or bad flasher unit.

Both are under the dash. One plugs into the fuse box, and is round.
The other one is just kind of dangling by it's wires above the fuse box. It's round too.

there is a flasher unit...normally they are round. This is what you do...turn on the emergency flashers...listen for the clicking...the flasher for the turn signals looks and acts exactly the same as the emergency flasher. in some models the flasher unit is located in the fuse box...however in many models of all cars..they are just under the dash on the drivers side...just stuck up there...what you have to do is remove the kick panel under the dash...with a light locate the unit...when you find the one for the emregency flashers...do this by leaving the flashers on that way you can hear it ...near it should be a second one...the are interchangeable...switch them out and see if this fixes your problem...if it does go get a new one...pretty inexpensive and replace it...this should fix your problem

Wow alot of possibilities. Turn signal switch, probably not flasher (because the light would usually at least come on), probably not bad ground (because not all the lights would not work), if the fuses are ok then that's not it. I'd go with the turn signal switch chek to see if voltage is going in, if so check for voltage going out with the signal on if nothing there's your culprit.

verify each and each man or woman bulb. each so often you may tell if a bulb is undesirable, via the blinker gentle in the sprint blinks real rapid. each so often they don't' it relies upon on the make of vehicle. If the bulbs are good, then attempt checking the wires from lights to the fuse panel then to the turn sign clicker on the column.

If they come on but dont blink then it is the flasher unit. If they dont come on I would get a volt meter and start tracing the voltage, check the gound for the bulbs first.

You need a new fuse or a new light bulb. Often time you can shake loose the connection.
