Is it bad if I put a head of lettuce under the bush by our patio to feed the baby bunnies there?

Spinach greens are better.
leaf lettuce will work but stay away from head lettuce since it has less nutrition. They will eat clover and dandelions. They will also eat the leaves of bushes. They enjoy the occasional carrot but they are not like bugs bunny about it. You can also get a little guinea pig or rodent pellets and they will eat it.

Feeding rabbits should not be a problem where you are talking about. They are living next to humans and have to deal with them daily and you are not talking about raccoons or other trouble makers. Do not leave enough food to attract these creatures however. They can become a problem fast. Put out the food in the morning, a little at a time. Try to leave only what they will clean up in a day. By night it should be clean or the raccoons and possums may move in if you have them there (you almost certainly do if you have rabbits).

There really isn't anything wrong with that in fact using lettuce may be very good for them depending on how young they are. You may feed them lettuce if they are a new born. If they have developed into small 'kids' or correctly know as kittens, then they will be ready for more 'aggresive' foods that consist of more chewing such as seeds. Also an all time favourite food of rabbits (if you can manage to get it) is wild flowers and wild grass. The large myth is that rabbits love carrots more than anything else, however the fact that this is largely false they still do enjoy carrots somewhat.

They eat weeds mostly. If they go really wild they might hop into a dumpster and raid it for leftover veggies.

lettuce is tough to find growing near apartments, grass is not very nutritious for them, and bushes are too high to reach leaves on.

They eat available vegetation, like weeds, grasses, tree bark.
