I totally agree with you. Music is a universal language that can tear down walls and create unity unlike anything else. I am glad to be able to listen over the Internet to radio otherwise not available, and being able to find out about music and artists that otherwise would never have been found.

I just wish it was easier to pull the good from the bad, I can only tell the good stuff by the odd blip of a track played on the radio, then thinking "that sounds like..." and googling it to see, countless times I have to hear it again sixmonths later to hear who it really is, for example I first heard of the killers and sissor sisters about a year before their first albums came out from xfm, but the omitted or fast spoken title washed straight through me and I didnt know who to look for r even where!

I love muic- ALL music, from 7 I was trained on the violin and am classically trained, I love classical, string baroque, 20th century (eg simon rattle), and loads of stuff which is current today- sissor sisters, keane, killers, madonna, take that!! ha ha! I think bar beyonce mariah carey and christina aguilara (who all seem to find it impossible to sing just ONE note at a time!), and puff daddy -who is so dog ugly that its amazing his voice actually out does his looks in terms of how bad it is! I really do think I like everything!

I would love to discover and hear more bands though, I dont own an ipod (v.v.broke!) so can only hear on the computer or not at all, I wish it was easier!

I could live without the internet (not easily because now that I know it, I would certainly miss it) but living without music would be a LOT harder! Music has been part of humanity since time immemorial for a good reason. In all its forms (voice & instrument) it resonates within our souls and is one of the most joyful creative outlets we as humans have as a form of self-expression.
