I just remind myself that people are mean because they are scared. I know that it is important to be out and open and to show compassion. People fear what they do not understand. I know that I am so happy with my husband and my child, I can only hope that the people who write such hateful things manage to find the joy that I have.

Each day I fill myself with the White Light of the Holy Spirit. Then I imagine a wall of mirrors facing outward. The negativity reflects off of me and pushes it back to the sender!
I always report graffiti. Though in my neighborhood, it's a losing battle.

I used to think I was the nicest person anyone could ever meet, but that has all changed over the last few years. I live in a Redneck part of KKK western Wa. and was outed a few years ago and have been laughed at pointed at and constantly stared at. So I finally just had to develop a thick skin because of these creeps of society and in doing so has changed my sweet self into a less personable sole.

I've heard it so much I'm just numb to it all. It's been years since I've heard anything new. It's all regurgitated horsehockey to me. And you know what else, the only time in the past decade that anyone had anything like that to say to my face instead of behind my back they were the one who came out of the situation looking like an idiot and it pissed them off even more which made them look like even more of an idiot because they couldn't let go of it for weeks.
I have broad shoulders and the patience of Job, words don't hurt me.

You don't... you acknowledge it... and prepare yourself for any confrontations you may endure...
It is not good to bury our heads in the sand...
It is better to have an actual picture of our environment and the underbelly that lurks within it...

they don't affect me at all, I have some issues feeling superior than the average American, so I find most of people dumb and ignorant, I know this is not nice but you asked.
