You would have to buy some fava beans and a nice Chianti... just in case he pops in for dinner.

In Folk Lore's Hannibal marched an Army across the Alps which included Elephants. That impresses me much more than a fictional character that stars in a gory movie.

The great Carthaginian General Hannibal, son of Hamilcar Barca, was defeated in 202 BCE, 4yrs after his Alps crossing , by the Roman General Publius Cornelius Scipio and 100,000 Roman troops.
Excavations of Carthage have revealed the Carthaginians practised child sacrifice. there were mass killings in times of stress and sacrifices to appease the city gods. Archaeologists estimate that between 400 & 200 BCE. 20,000 children ages infancy to 4yrs old were creamated and buried in the gods holy site.
The real thing is nastier than the fictional story with a character of the same name.

He was based off of a man, his name was albert fish i think. Anyway, he was this guy who liked like a nice grandpa type. He killed and tortured children, and ate some of there body parts. I think it was in the 1920's.

He was. Didn't he take the elephants over the alps.
If your talking about the books they were apparently based on fact.
