Have you ever wondered about the holocaust and if there was anyone who tried to help the Jewish people? Well there was a person, and his name was Osker Schindler. The book Schindler’s List was written by Thomas Keneally. The book is realisitic fiction. It is based on the life of Osker Schindler. This novel is not particularly hard to read but there are a lot of German terms in it. It was made into a movie that was directed by acclaimed director Steven Spielberg.

The main character in the story is Osker Schindler and this book takes place in the 1940’s during World War 2. The book tells how Osker Schindler saved a lot of Jewish people. He gave them jobs when no one else would and did a lot of other things for them.
A main idea of this novel is that Osker Schindler is an honorable man with a soul. He is one of the few people who helped the Jewish people during the holocaust. I think that it is great that he helped people but I don’t feel a connection because my families never had problems with the Nazis during World War II.

I would rate this book a 7.5 out of 10. I think that someone who enjoys reading realistic fiction novels would enjoy this book a lot. Overall I think that this is a well written and a good novel to read.

Yes and the book was originally called Schindler's Ark but hollywood changed it when it made the film and they thought that people would think it had some connection with Harrison Ford and the Raiders of the Lost Ark
