I there a processor that has more speed that mine, 2.44 GHZ
Or can I increase the speed?

If you are using the 3800 single core in a socket 939 configuration just go to your nearest computer shop and ask what the fastest 939AMD is they have left. Since AM2 socket the 939 have dropped drastically in price. PS all socket 939 processors should be compatable including dual core so you could find yourself with a decent upgrade for relatively cheap. A 3800+ dual core clocks in at 2ghz x 2cores
If you search around for the owners manual for your motherboard it will show all the options available in the BIOS which is where you would speed up your processor if that option is available. You could also do it with software in Windows but if you have any windows errors you could fry your machine.(stability problems) I personally have had a 3800+ dual core (2ghz) overclocked to 2.6ghz with no problems.

Yeah... try switching to Intel Duo Core Extreme(aka Quad Core). Clocked at 2.93 GHZ... overclocking is not a problem as long as you keep it cool !!!
