I would say no. There are too many young people who have to grow up too fast in life. Some of them never really have a childhood at all. This could be due to the homelife, a sickness that torments and frightens them perpetually, or never really having a real home.
Then we have the fools who are 40+ and act like a bunch of dimwits. They never truly grow up and every day is a party to them at someone else's expense.
No, older is not necessarily wiser. Not by a long shot.

well, you hope that an older person is wiser than a younger person; for sure they usually have more experience, but part of the implication of 'wisdom' is also intelligence. if someone is not smart enuf to learn from their experiences, then they cannot become wiser.

No....
It seems that older means that one has lived long enough to know what it means to sojourn in the world.....
wisdom is imparted upon some, but even wisdom becomes lost over time......
Age reasons with youth to impart a wisdom based on experience.... Yet, not everyone has learned the lessons which time may often teach.......
And then there are those who are set in their ways, who do not seek to learn anything but what they have taught themselves by their reasoning.......

Ginger

No,, t he correct is, the higher the experience is, the wiser. Knowledge depends on numerous experiences. Whether it's a success nor a failure.

Not really.
Older is a term relative to age of the human.
Wiser is a term relative to the maturity of thoughts.
If one use his mind deeply he can be wiser at even younger age.

Nope. Some people just get older, without gaining any wisdom whatsoever. There's no fool like an old fool...

You're only wise if you recognize the lessons and learn from your experiences. You're only wise if you realize that you will never know everything and there is always more to learn.
