How do I solve this equation for x: 15.4 = 7*ln(x)?

divide both sides by 7
15.4/7 = ln x
ln x = 2.2

exponentiate both sides
e^ (ln x) = e^2.2

now, e^(ln anything) = anything [ also, ln( e^anything ) = anything ]
x = 9.025

LN X = 15.4/7
LN X = 2.2
e^2.2 = x
x = 9.025
