What would happen if one put a strong magnet near a fish?

i would agree that there would not really be any effect to the fish. Consider those magnetic algae cleaners. The size ratio of the magnet to the fish would seem that there would be an effect. But there isn't.

probably nothing but if the fish had a high iron diet it could have some pull.
