Have you heard of eating a chicken sandwich that is a fried chicken breast (with the bone still in it) in between a bun and eating around the bone? The same is done with a porkchop sandwich too.

There's a little place called "Big Chick" and it's just a walk up restaurant that's out in the open and they serve fried chicken. (btw, I live in georgia) That's how they sell their chicken breast sandwiches. I found that out the hard way.

I live in Georgia too and never have had one at a restaurant. I have made my own sandwich with the bone still in it (porkchop) but never with a chicken breast. I guess you could say it's a Southern thing.

You are the first person that I've heard this happen to. A long time ago, my father, grandmother and I were in New Mexico at a Holiday Inn and they had room service and served my grandmother a chicken sandwich that had a piece of chicken with the bone still in it and for many years, we thought that was the weirdest thing. We thought it was really poor service. We're all from Buffalo, NY and we never forgot that. I've lived in Florida for 15 years and I've never seen it here. Thanks for sharing!

I was born and raised in the south, and I never heard anybody eating a sandwich like that, we just take the bone out. So no it is not a southern thing.

Must be a southern thing cause I've never heard of it, and have lived in the Northeast for most of my life. I don't think I want a chicken sandwich with bones in it. That's kinda gross!

No, I've only heard of the pork chop sandwich which is very popular in Chicago and at Bojangle's restaurants in the South.

no, you take the meat off the bone. which you usually give to the dog. i grew up in alabama and i've never heard of that in al, georgia, fl, the carolinas, tennessee. what state did that, sounds like a personal family thing to me.
