The bubble wrap that you get in packing is also good. It is very gentle so you dont damage the plant. Folded paper and tongs would be another choice.

I wrap my cactus in lots of newspaper, wear gloves, and spread the extra newspaper on the floor to capture all of its previous soil for re-use.

Spread good Karma!

I saw this on tv. They wraped the plant with several layers of newspaper and carefully removed it from one pot and put it into another.

They make special gloves just for cacti. You can find them in the hand tool section of your local lawn and garden store or nursery. Don't look at Wal-Mart first, try the nursery first. and don't hesitate to ask questions of the nursery personnel when you purchase or acquire a plant that you know nothing about. I did, when my Gram moved and left her plants for me to take care of.

Try kitchen tongs or even a brown paper bag/newspaper crumpled up. Good luck!

Very carefully- and use heavy-duty gloves.

Good luck!
