That the GOP "war" on islam is causing more and more muslims to distrust and despise the US - which would naturally lead for them to react negatively towards us - and the west?

Fighting terrorism by declaring war on a few thousand people scattered over the globe is the most ludicrous thing I've ever heard of. Yes, terrorism is a viable threat, but working in conjunction with other countries to weed them out would have been much more effective. I wholeheartedly agreed with the effort in Afghanistan, but Iraq didn't fit the program. Bush and his administration have nearly isolated the U.S. in an impossible, seemingly never ending conflict for reasons that change with the weather.

Who Knows, Who Cares. Also, you know that winemkr took up the whole page here with an article out of the N Y Times. Naughty naughty. You are supposed to give your own answer, not do a complete book report. I say, wipe the whole d*** lot of them off the face of the earth. The war in Iraq has turned completely into a war about religon.

What have you been saying all along? Please review your history of the "War on Islam", as you call it. I know Hillary Clinton and John Kerry both voted for military action after 9/11, along with many other Democrats.

I see. You change your opinions when you see the chance to criticize the Right. Nice

It certainly does. It is what I have been saying all along. I lived in a Muslim country for a year and have a feel for how they think. To them we are infidels on their sacred land and they will defend that sacred land with their lives

What war were we fighting with the muslim when Al-Quiada attacked us on 9/ll. How about the USS Cole? How about the first WTC attack?
What if Radical Islam is just Muslims who hate infidels?

Who cares whether or not Muslims like the US? Their faith calls for them to wage jihad against any and all infidels. I don't really care if the person who wants to behead me does so with a heavy heart because he likes me.

Islam must be eradicated.

someone else posted this earlier, I think neocons will just invert the numbers to promote their goals:
example 40% of islam believes in suicide bombing etc.

my solution is a nuclear powered USA with electric cars and trains. No more oil means we will bail on the ME and stop inflaming them all the time.

There is a difference between Islam and Islamic extremists.

You scream about the "right wing fundies" yet you give a free pass to the suicide bombers.
Can't figure that one out
