Absolutely! The loss of a parent is one of the most stressful and traumatic times in ones life. It doesn't matter how old you are or how old they are, it still affects you a lot. Suicide is especially hard because the family always feels as if they could have done something to prevent it so they not only suffer the pain of the loss but also the guilt. I would think a parent;s suicide would be extremely traumatic, no matter when it happens.

Of course! Wouldn't you be traumatized if a friend committed suicide? Adult children are affected by parental divorce too. If you care about someone, any negative in their life will affect you.

People are always traumatized by their parents' deaths, no matter how it happens. Even if they hated their parents, there's still a lot of emotional turmoil involved.

It's just one of those things that happens, and people just have to get through it. And mostly, they do.
