Not sure it fits...but Clapton himself will tell you he is a terrible singer, lousy voice, bad range, etc etc. The most talented person you hear on his albums is the woman singing backup. She has a classicly trained voice with a mamoth range...and yet always sings just under him...delicately mingling the harmony, providing that amazing sound...
