First of all, how young is little?

Secondly, miniskirt, I think is okay. It depends on your definition of miniskirt though. I'm thinking of miniskirts that still pass the test of being around fingertip length, lol, not a teenage type miniskirt. It can be really cute. I work in a clothing store for young girls and we sell a lot of miniskirts that are actually skorts and they look really cute on the younger girls, plus they have the feature of having the shorts underneath so the girls can go out and play during recess and not be flashing the entire world :p. We do have a few true skirts too and the kids do leggings with them and there's nothing wrong with that.

Thongs though? I don't even know where you would buy thongs for a kid. We don't sell them at my store, and I can't imagine a parent actually buying them for their child. Most parents at my store buy everything too big anyway because they're too afraid of their child looking sexy, so a thong would be the absolute last thing on their mind.

A thong is never appropriate for a little girl.

I would question the mini skirt as well. I'm always amazed when parents think it's "cute" to allow their 6 year old to dress like a 20 year old woman going to a club. It is NOT cute.

Hell to the NO!! Come on get real kids should not wear what some adults even shouldn't. I know were in a new era but what happened to showing young girls how to me sexy and cute without showing all the goods! If you show it all now whats left for later!! And I think were sending the wrong message to our youth that being sexy is only established through what you wear. So lets all set some examples and maybe they wouldn't be asking for thongs and min-skirts.

Sure. It's perfectly acceptable for a little girl to wear a thong and a mini-skirt if you want her to look trashy and to teach her that it's okay that the only way to look sexy or to attract people is through her body.

I'm 29 and I don't wear mini-skirts or thongs. I have too much respect for myself. The skirt I wore to church the other day falls four inches above my knees. When I got the skirt five years ago, I was fine with that. Now, it's too short. However, it fits around my baby bulge (I'm five months pregnant) and I have room to grow in it, so it will work for now, especially since I have other skirts that are longer and also fit and I also have room to grow in.

Sunday at church I saw a girl who is only in middle school wear a very low cut tank top. When I passed her at one point, I could not only see down her shirt, but what looked to be a padded pushup bra. I didn't get my first padded pushup bra until I was 27 or 28.

Also at church, I also saw another girl who looked to be in middle school wear sweats with writing on the butt. Yeah. While I don't care if my butt looks "fat", I also neither need nor want people to look at it any more than necessary. (Excpet for my husband, of course.) Writing on the butt of pants definately does that. I certainly don't want people to look at my middle school daughter's butt. Yikes.

Children need to be taught respect of themselves and of ohters. Dressing them appropriately and respectively is a part of it.

Thongs are way way way way way unacceptable for young girls. Personally, thongs are inappropriate either way. It depends how long the "mini" skirt is. If it's past your arms length when you put your hands down on your sides, it's waaaaaaaaaaay too short.

Ummm no, because if you start wearing a mini-skirt at a young age, you'll get a reputation as a "slut" for some people. And for the thong, as long as it doesnt show.

well as for the skirt...i think it all depends on how they wear it because its all about how you present yourself in the outfit...because that will influence how other people look at it...but as for the thong it depends on how young the child is because i wouldnt want to see a child still in elementary school wearing a thong
