I have to train the girl who got the position that I applied for. I applied for a customer service position at my current job where I am the receptionist. I didn't get the job because I was told that they chose someone with more experience. Well, thats fine, but today, I had to help train the person who got the job that I wanted. She doesn't learn quickly and I think they made a terrible mistake by hiring her. (not to mention she's older and not computer literate) I'm not saying that all older people can't learn quickly or aren't computer literate, it's just that she's not. My feelings are kind of hurt.

It could well be that the position needed a mature person. Try training her as best you can You could ask your boss why you did not get the job and tell them how important it was to you and your feel slighted. Talk it out... Do you release you are the first person who customers see when they walk in, the first person they have contact with? This is an important job and obviously they trust you enough to put you out front. Not every one can handle that job.

I understand. I feel sorry for you. If you look at the bright side, you are employed and can always work for promotion. As for the girl you are training, do your best. Do not work for selfishness, cos yall work together to run the place. Life is filled with trials. This is a test of patience and willingness to help the unfortunate. In faith, God will bless you.
PS. With your genuine willingness and kindness out of your heart, your boss might surely promote you!

Something's wrong here! If she's more experienced she could teach you! She knows somebody in management. Sounds like a place you don't want to work at, keep an eye on the want ads and I just said a prayer for you!
