I hope the war could come to a close and be won. For the attention of our troops are needed else where and this senseless war in Iraq is tieing down resources that could be used to fight actual threats elsewhere.

I mean it would be great if everyone could just throw down their weapons and walk away and make peace...but in the real world, that's not going to happen, and for the sake of the Iraqi people and all of those who died in the process of bringing democracy and justice to Iraq, I think that it would be a great dishonor to just walk away without finishing the job when we've already come this far.
War is never pretty, especially in this day and age with all of the sources of information and close media coverage of the war...with death counts every single day being made, it's hard to keep your morale up about what we are doing there. But in the long run, 20-30 years from now, we may be looking back and viewing the liberation of Iraq a turning point in the middle east. This will however ultimately fall on the shoulder's of the Iraqi people to come together and stop fighting over 1500 year old differences. We can only do so much with force and the billions of dollars we have invested into the Iraqi people. It is up to them to do the rest and stabilize their nation.

Yes, I would like the war to end. So many people have lost their lives. So many innocent people. America has lost thousands of soldiers; mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, etc. Today on TV I saw a young woman who was dying in the streets. American soldiers tried to help her. She and her family were afraid to go to the hospital due to being of a different creed than the people who ran the hospital. The woman was dying of cancer. The American soldiers did what they could, and guarded the streets from snipers until someone came in an old pickup truck to take the woman to the hospital. I don't know what would happen to the people in Iraq or their government, but I wish it was over.

Well... I think we all want the war to end as quickly as possible... the question is whether it is ended in a way that improves the safety and security of our country or makes it increased the chances that our country will be attacked again in the future.

Who doesn't want the war to end, but you can't just stop and leave. You have to finish what you started and when we do it will end. It will takes time so stop complaining.

I want all wars to end. As soon as religion stops rearing it's ugly head around the world we can get back to conventional political hatred.

Yes I want it to end. Why? because you fight a war for a purpose. Obviously you want that goal to be achieved.
In Iraq the purpose, to my understanding of it was to remove a dictator, that part was done, and then to stabilize the region while the people set up their own government and their own police and mliitary. That part we are working on.
And yes I want that to be achieved and for it to end.
