The reason why things are made to appear complicated is because the hand book which tells you how to operate your new I.Pod was written by the Secret Society of Obscurantists. Quite often, to make things seem even more complicated, the Obscurantists first translate their difficult to understand techno-babble into a foreign language such as Japanese. This is then translated back into English and it is for this reason the instructions read, first, opening the book and are check to find number six pages. Here are instruct to assemble both chair with table top plain and spare screw which dispose of after.

Been there, done that.

I don't believe that everything's complicated. A lot of things aren't. Usually, there's one main focus of a problem with little other distracting things. There are the simplicities of the complication that are forgotten.

When you look at a long and complicated equation... you just have to take it step by step at a time and break it down. In the end, it's not too complicated.

Everything is not complicated. If we believe a certain fact is hard to comprehend just because the person explained it with "uncomprehensible" words, then we automatically tell our brains we can't handle it and make ourselves more confused. Maybe if we admitted that we didn't understand what the hell they just said and politely ask them to break it down, then maybe we would get somewhere.
But then sometimes it just goes down to how intelligent we are. If you are really intelligent, you may not understand the word they just said but still find a way to understand.
But then again, makers of products put unnecessary information on their products and they don't try and explain what they have printed.

We are making things so complicated. This should not be the way but the only way we know best in the delivery. Generally, things are complicated because we made it out of ignorance, not knowing a shorter resolution to it all. Exactly why invention becomes smaller, however in efficiencies were many times over, in comparison to their predecessors. We are reaching the core of things that can be resolved, because of understanding in handling those complexities that came our way. Complicated or not, in resolving problem is entirely on one’s ability in making it simpler.

Everything needs to be complicated to keep us on our toes and to keep our intellect stimulated. It is human nature to see patterns in everything in everyday life so if no pattern is immediately discernable then it is deemed as complicated. Without complications however we would never learn anything new or have any new forward thinking scientists or revolutionary's. The real question is whether or not complication is a state of mind and if so how do we achieve enlightenment from our daily complications?

Life to the n'th degree is complicated. Dumbing everything down is daft way forward. So saying, I certainly understand Ana's point of the Socrates view too, even if Socrates did paradoxically take things to the n'th degree.

Check the link to see why it is sometimes a good idea to make things complicated.

Everything IS NOT complicated, we just have a tendency to thing that they are.

And if this is not the answer(s) that you are looking for, then why don't you ask the question that you truly want answered.

Answerers here aren't psychic, we answer based on personal experiences and knowledge. I have found that too many asker ask questions to get someone to share their opinion instead of getting true/real objective, factual, sensible answers.

it isn't if you don't want it to be!

we live in a Society where in reality we can all afford to work 2 or 3 day weeks. Food on the table, a roof and taxes paid.
It is only because people choose time saving devices or things they don't need: cars, washers, blenders, ipods, dvd-players, cameras, phones, computers et al.

Due to the impression we need these things, we all end up working more hours - meaning less time for ourselves and lovedones. Stress, illhealth, frustration, burnout.

Just sit in the sun. Play with your children or watch the World go by. It is much more rewarding than worrying about things you don't have and don't need.

Things are only as complicated as you want them to be. Also its the way our brains are wired. Some people see the solutions without even trying and to some there is no solution no matter how hard they look.

Read about systems.
