I do this often as my skin tone can change quite a bit from summer to winter. I actually need to make a "mixture" now, the foundation I tried to use yesterday was much too light! I've never had any problems with breakouts.

Mixing foundations is very common. I'm not sure bout the different brands. But it should be okay.

chemical reaction might break down etc. they mix a custom color for u at prescriptives in NYC for you or you can go to climique counter adn they will play until u have the right one. i mixed mine once but it had dif chemcials.. if u use same brand and ingredients then yes.. go a 1/4 tsp at a time to mix.. then write down the ratio for ur blend..

definitely, but it still will not ensure an accurate match. in the past, i've mixed foundations, added astringents, moisturizer - what i ended up with gave me very light coverage. and it worked for me til i got bored with it or ran out and moved on to something else. good luck.

Absolutely. Everyone's skin tones are slightly different, and a lot of times you need to mix a couple or more to get "just the right" color. I do it all the time.

if they both have the same base [oil or water] you can mix them, otherwise it might not work. experiment with a dab of each shade on the back of your hand, and mix them with a makeup sponge and test them out on your face in NATURAL light [by a window or step outside the back door with a mirror]

yes that works really well. sometimes when you have combination skin mixing them is the best. unless one is a liquid powder and the other is just liquid there should be no problem.

Sure you can. There is actually a brand called Prescriptives that does it for you too.
