We trust scientists because their track record is much better than the "reference book" that you are holding in your hands. Just for fun, please email me when one, just one of the predictions in that book comes true. I'll be waiting.

Because the past already happened. It's history.
The future hasn't happened yet. So you can't be quite sure of what will happen.
Besides, with all the global warming and crazy weather patterns we've created with greenhouse gases and burning up all those fossil remains from millions of years ago, the weather patterns are much less predictable than they were back when we were just roaming around searching for nuts and berries in our animal skins.
I think you're trying to make a "djaevernotice" observation-type joke...but I don't think it's all that funny when there's a logical explanation for your answer.
Try Eddie Izzard stand-up for observations that don't fall apart under scrutiny.

Because scientists understand science and you don't.
There is a lot of evidence recorded in the Earth's rocks and fossils that tells us about what was happening millions of years ago and scientific studies of this evidence are repeated and verified by numerous scientists who then come to a consensus on what happened.
Part of science is being skeptical, however, and we welcome your skepticism. Scientists will say, "Fine. Don't trust us. Go out there and collect and analyze the data yourself and discover for yourself what the rocks are telling you about Earth's history. Then publish it in a peer-reviewed scientific journal." We would be delighted if you could prove us wrong, for that is one important way that science advances. We would also be delighted if you could tell us the weather tomorrow.
Keep thinking.

i think of you're a extra caing and deep guy or woman than many are at present. you place distinctive your self into human beings and your relationships and assume a similar back. It merely looks that persons at present are extra superficial and not that a lot of human beings take a little time to speculate themselves in others. Do you have a cousin or sibling you're on the brink of? for this reason the asserting "blood is thicker than water" is frequently genuine. your loved ones is kinfolk and around no rely in case you choose them to be or not ;) Meet new human beings yet do not positioned money into them as plenty and see what happens. extreme college could be like that, many stuff are for "prepare" for the genuine international, yet i think of friendships can final a life-time. Friendships could have a life of their own and your first proper pal says she nevertheless loves you and not something has replaced which ability she's not mad at you and you probably did not do something incorrect, that is merely extra handy to spend time with human beings whom she has training with. in case you're in training back jointly, you would be back on your old procedures. in step with possibility over the summer season you are able to paintings jointly or do a project jointly? stable luck! And that is not merely you :)

Spalding,...that was hilarious..! thanks for the belly laugh!
scientists have an advantage,..sort-a,..they have deduced from 'track' or 'sign' what apparently happened ...the earth holds evidence of events,..not only weather related, but also such things as volcanic activity's, faulting ruptures, surnames, inundations, floods, things like that...occasionally they find rain drops on ancient mud, or find fossilized dinosaur tracks, or find wind designs in sand dunes... they are 'reading' history from earths ledger...not predicting ...there's a big difference ..
Incidentally, what they are predicting for tomorrow { in a literal sense} is percent of possibility's, and what they are predicting fatalistically regarding the change in earths environmental projections are related only in so far as that tomorrows weather is going to be affected by atmospheric changes, and out of normal patterns...some places will see improvement...some will see deterioration... historical norms will alter...that's all.
It will be interesting....no doubt about that.
Good prophecy's or bad, tomorrow's generation of humanity will determine there predictions in the latter case, not us.

Aha, but that's were "we" come in, we're the future. Sure we might now all the things this universe has to offer but that's where we can make our judgement. We can explore this vast universe that's probably endless (or who knows) and make ideas, proove these ideas and hopefully explain why things are for what they are. After all "we" are the future =). One day we will mark this world and our generation after generation will look back upon us and say wow.. they really did something, and thanks to "them" we are where we are now. So go out there and open yourself to great possibilities and answers. You never know, you might be the next Einstein or someone as simple as Walt Disney =). You/us might change the world and leave a mark of ourselves for ever.
