i want to be a psychatrist but i dont want to be involved in abnormal psychology is that possible.

Psychiatrists specialize in medications for abnormal psychology. What you said is like saying that you want to be a car mechanic but you don't want to be involved with repairing cars. .... Are you kidding us?

Yes, there are a lot of different branches of psychology. Of course, you might still run into someone in your practice....

why don't you try something like sociology maybe? what exactly is it that you would like to do? Psychiatrist actually treat mentally ill ppl.
