Hi everyone. I am 13 years old, 5'4'' and I weigh about 140 pounds. I am looking to lose some weight quickly, but in a healthy way.
I have already been weight training for a while, so I believe that is some of the problem of the high numbers on the scale But I do realize I need to change my lifestyle.
I honestly don't have that much fat on my body. But, the worst areas are my arms (working on it) abs (trying a workout from a magazine, but i could use help!) my hips, and my thighs. I think thats what most women have problems with though.
Could someone please help me?! I am actually doing Weight Watchers over the summer, Dance Team next year (if I dont make the team then dance class) and I am going to a personal trainer.
If anyone has any advice for me to help lose weight and start a healty lifestyle, it would help so much! I would love to lose some weight and finally feel good about being myself!

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
dont try to lose more than 1-2lbs a week - its not healthy to lose more.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried - no junk food.

while not so good for you age, your weight to height and weight is the same as mine. So just wait about 2 years and you'll be fine. I don't think weight loss should be part of a young girls life. But my best advice, try vegetarianism.

I'm 15, 5'4" and about 125 pounds. It's so easy to never be happy with your body. Please, just make sure how you lose the weight is healthy. (No starving, no binging and purging, etc.) You have plenty of people to ask for help - your parents (if you are doing this the right way then they should have no problem with it), the people at WW, your personal trainer, etc.
Good luck, babe. xx
