I LOVE tribal art tattoos although I'm too scared to have one done. I don't like it when they are on display too much for women, or too many on a man is icky. I like a bloke with a tattoo on his upper arm(s) and perhaps one on his chest. I've also got this thing about dragons so I was going to have one tattooed onto my lower back but I totally bottled it at the last minute!! A friend of ours had one done on her shoulder as a celebration.....for her divorce and 60th birthday! I do agree though that they need to be thought through very carefully 'cos they can look pretty mingin' on old skin. In a certain nautical town on the IOW there are a few old 'sailer slappers' walking round with ship wheels, ropes and anchors tattooed down their arms and they are old wrinkly women - eeugh!

I like them in moderation. However, most of them I dislike. It seems most people these days get them for "cool points" and go with the trendy spots and graphics. Tatoos lacking originality suck. Also, most people don't keep in mind what it will look like years from now. What is on top will eventually succumb to gravity, subsequently distorting the original image.
I wanted one too but decided against it, simply because I don't think I'd be happy with it as a senior citizen.

i have 3,the first i had done was my eldest daughters name and a love heart on my belly.the 2nd was a dove with a rose in its mouth on my chest and my 3rd was a rose on my arm with the word "mum" underneath it.they are only small though,i would love another one at the bottom of my spine,i hate to see women with loads of tattoos though, and some men just get carried away, why do people go out and get there full face tattooed? it looks horrible! and guaranteed they'd never be able to get away with a crime in an ID parade ha ha.i just couldnt imagine growing old covered in tattoos, yuk.a few aren't too bad though,

I have a rose tattoo on my right shoulder blade. I love it and how sexy it makes me feel. Having this tattoo has changed the way I see myself - it was the best $A100.00 I've spent.
If you want it - do it. Just please do your homework regarding where you get it done. Make sure to check out the place beforehand and that you are happy with how they answer enquiries (telephone and face-to-face) as well as overall cleanliness etc. Also find out how long they've been in business ...(I had mine done in a place that had been in business for 40 years and that I recall seeing in my childhood.)

I think they're an expression of ones loves, an expression of one's appreciation for things and art, but I also think that sometimes it's out of rebellion.
Either way, I love them. Granted, I don't love all tattoos, or tattoos on all people, but I do appreciate good art work.
I think that on the right person, the right tattoos are sexy.

I like them if they are not too much. Like someone has their entire body covered in tattoos, don't like it. Maybe a couple here and there, but not all over the place.
I have considered getting a Celtic cross tattooed in between my shoulder blades, but was scared also. Someone convinced me that my body was a temple and I should keep it clean.

I hate them. I got a tattoo on my shoulder blade for my 18th birthday. I regret it and I can't wait until I can get it removed. It isn't bad looking, its just not me. It is my zodiac symbol (cancer) and people (perverted men) always misinterpret it as "69". I usually wear something to keep it covered. If you do get one make sure it is in a place that can be easily covered and make sure it is something you would never regret, like your mother's name or wait until you have children and put their names. If I had something like that I may not regret it.

I like them, I have 4. 2 are hidden and 2 small ones in the open. I like to see them on men, as long as they aren't on the face.
Ohhhhhh and YES they hurt. But I want another one. They can be very addicting.
