The last statistic I saw was that there is 1.6% for an American to make the NFL but a 4% chance for a Samoan American . Samoan Americans are 40 times more likely to make the NFL. Currently there are only 500,000 Samoans in the world and over 200 of them play in the NFL.

0.2%: While many young people every year set their goals on becoming NFL players, it is extremely difficult to reach that level. Statistically of the 100,000 high school seniors who play football every year, only 215 will ever make an NFL roster. That is 0.2%! Even of the 9,000 players that make it to the college level only 310 are invited to the NFL scouting combine, the pool from which teams make their draft picks. As you can see, most people who want to become NFL players will not. Therefore it is very important to come up with alternative plans for the future.

For me very slim- Although I love football- unless they need a team of replacements- it aint looking good for me

But for the average person less then .01%
For the average high school player less then .1%
For the average college football player less then 1%
For the average big 12 player less then 10%
So... You need unbelievable talent and be the best of the best in order to be in the NFl

I forgot were I heard it but it's like a 5% chance of you getting in. I mean think about it you like have to be great in High School, then hopefully get a scholarship to a good college. Be a superstar up there and if you're lucky get drafted. Like I said very very slim chance.

Me personally? None. Zero. Zilch. Zippo. Never happen. Never would have. I'm old. I'm small. I am woman, hear me roar for my team but not play for it. Come to think of it maybe I DO have a chance. MY team is the Detroit Lions. :o)

Decently high.

If i perform like i am now when i get to college, I'll be set and could go pro.

I have offers from colleges like Michigan, Texas, Tennessee, Louisville.. many other places like Hawaii and Boise State... and Hawaii n Boise are who I'm really looking at.. i want to help out and make and impact for my team sooo, that's the way to go.

Don't think I'll make it pro tho, just glad to have full rides to colleges.

Good news: I am a punter with a lively leg. I can also play defensive line and catch well!
Bad news: I'm 43 and gaining weight.
