BEST ANSWER --- By asker OR voters?

I know you get 10 points either way but I feel better when I see my answer chosen by the asker. Is this you? Yes/No?

yes, because when its chosen by the asker you kno they legitimately read your answer and thought it was the best---when its by votes (especially just one or two) it feels like my answer was chosen at random

I like it both ways:
When it's a whole bunch of voters, it makes me feel "chosen",
but since originally, I answered it for the asker, I like for that person to choose.

Yes, whether or not my response is chosen, I'd prefer the asker's choice for a Best Answer. To me, even if that's far from the asker's intentions, reverting to the voting process too much resembles apathy.

I see it this way, If the asker chose it, then maybe I helped in some way....on the other hand if multiple people thought my answer was good enough to vote for, that's says something too...

I want chosen by the asker, also. When it goes to voting the voters don't ever really spend any time on the second page like they should.
