and make sweeping generalizations that really just indicate their complete ignorance of current events and politics? Why not just keep your mouth shut, if when you open it you sound like an idiot?

Who's making generalizations now? You are.

I have quite a good knowledge of current events and politics.

I do mispel words sometimes like typing teh instead of the... mostly just typing and not paying close attention.

Now be honest. sweeping generalizations go on on both sides and there are people that really come off bad that are of all types.
This has nothing to do with a particular ideology, you know that. Neither the left nor the right has the corner of the market on foolishness.

The spell checker did it . "Sweeping generalizations"? That's rich . Excuse me ..but isn't this what your question is ? I don't know any conservatives who can't back up word with fact . In today's bias liberal media , I do admit , such a thing may seem odd to the crowd who gets told daily what they are really thinking . "Keep our mouths shut"? Isn't that what a bully does in order to control his wife : " If you don't like it ; sit down and shut up"? Conservatives ask questions the same reason anyone would : to get answers ..Do we have to explain everything to liberals ? We're NOT the drive-by media , you know . We don't mind at all if you think for yourself . But..please..let us think for ourselves , too . Thanks a bunch .

Same reason blacks can't spell. Grammer and punctuation do not matter in the text written realm of blogs, text messaging, and posts. When there is no enforcement of grammer and punctuation rules, spelling will soon be forgotten. Education is key. Along with sociotal influences that limit an articulate black man to being proclaimed as white. And rednecks as not caring about sentence structure or vocabulary.

Examples of daily slaughtering of Standard American English include:

Where you at?
What that is?
Who you with?
Go ax her if you can have some money.
Man I used to could, but I aint been able to lately.
That truck is more better than the F150.
They be clowning dog.
He went acrost the rail road tracks and fell in the crick.
I'm fixing to give you a whipin.
Them peoples coming over and taking our jobs, don't you believe it. They aint going to be any jobs left for the white folks when it is all said and done.

The dumbing of America is clearly evident on YA; however, I have seen this evidence on both sides of the political fence.

Neither party seems to have a lock on stupidity.

Most of your answers to questions sound like trolling.

So does this question.

The ability to spell doesn't seem to change an attitude type, does it?

There's an abundance of morons on Y!A, left- and right-wingers included. Don't fool yourself into believing any different.

Stony took the words right out of my mouth! Darn.

When you've got a "leader of the free world" who says things like "It's clearly a budget. It's got a lot of numbers in it," they figure you can let mechanics slide.

FYI, mechanics = grammar, punctuation & spelling.

These are some of the same folks who rant about English being the "official language."

Ohhhhh, man...I almost fell off the chair!

Its Yahoo Answers. Who cares about misspelled words?

And if you really cannot understand questions involving generalizations at this level, you are lost.

Is that your political question of the day?
