Can they extract sperm without reversing the whole process?

I've never heard of a guy having sperm extracted, but it may be possible. Reproductive medicine is doing a lot of stuff once thought impossible. Pregnancy rates from guys who've had reversals are almost 50%, so that's worth a try. Talk to urologist. Good luck!

Would you wife consider donor sperm if your reversal doesn't work? Maybe from a relative so the child would have some of your genes?

You can but the longer you wait the less successful it will be. After a vasectomy a man's body starts to produce more of an enzyme that help the body reabsorb the sperm that now has nowhere to go. The enzyme will make the sperm infertile.
