I know, right?? I have that issue. People think I am Stuck up, just because I don't say much. Much of the time, I won't talk, unless someone initiates it. It's just the way it is. I too get nervous when speaking to people that I really don't know. Sometimes to people that I do know. At least now you know that there are others out there that feel the way you do.

Im the same way with people that I don't know so usually I stay quiet and I get the same stuck up or bi tch thing. I am what I am and if you don't like it keep it moving. They act like being shy is a bad thing. Its something that we cant help. At times I wish I was the most outgoing person in the world. If I know you that's a diffeent story but people that are too outgoing with everyone aren't too likable either. To me they are pretty annoying.

Unfortunately this can be true. I have been very shy all my life. Especially in school and then all my adult life when I'm around people I just met or if there are more than 3 people around. It has been my lifes biggest challenge to fight the fear that shyness can so cruelly consume me. Then, to feel the pain knowing that I have given the impression that I don't like someone or am stuck up. I have learned to try to make a point of making eye contact and say something nice even though it scares the begebers out of me. Other people dont like to feel as though you dont like them, even when they say they dont care. So, I muster it up and try my best.

Don't give a fu*k about what other people think. I'm also shy and people see me as an *** (they're right, but that's a whole other story) just because I don't talk much.

FU*K THEM. If they're going to judge you so quickly then do you REALLY want to be friends with them??

Even if you dont talk, try to make eye contact. Otherwise people will think youre not interested in whatever they are talking about. That might be why they thunk youre stuck up.

I also get the same response from people they dont understand that they arent worth talking to right at that moment I have other things I rather be thinking about to myself.

I was like that to when I was young. We are all people, we all pull up our pants the same way. We all poop and go to the bathroom the same way. We all eat, breath and sleep the same way. So never think someone is superior to you. Just have a little confidence in yourself and you'll be fine!!!

People seem to be threatened by those who don't have a whole lot to say for whatever reason. I've always been shy and people assume the same about me.

what does it really matter? The only person who REALLY matters is YOU! Just talk to them. If you do not work try getting a job working with the public that will change your shyness

I'm the same way and people think I'm an asshole because of it. It's not so much that I'm shy, I just don't really know what to talk about with people I don't know.
