There's just not much on-line - sorry:

Rose Zar was 19 years old when the Nazis invaded her native Poland. Her father urged her to save herself by hiding "in the mouth of the wolf"--or within the enemy itself. She managed to obtain false papers, secretly changing her identity and surviving the Holocaust as maid and nanny for a Nazi SS colonel.

The book I'm sot proud of writing is one that hardly anyone knows I wrote. It's called In the Mouth of the Wolf. I wrote it twenty years ago with my friend, Rose Zar. It's the story of Rose's experiences in occupied Poland during World War II. It's an incredible tale of survival and courage under pressure. Rose had a set of false papers that allowed her to pass as a polish citizen. She ultimately found a job as a nanny in the home of the SS commandant of Krakow. The challenge was to tell Rose's story in Rose's voice. It's some of the best writing I've ever done. The book gives me chills when I read it. Rose died three years ago, but I still hear her voice in the words.

The late Rose Gutterman Zar lived in South Bend, Indiana. The book "Into the Mouth of the wolf" is about the holocaust and supposedly the best of that era.

The book was written with another author named Eric A. Kimmel. I think Rose Zar was born in 1923, but I have no idea when she died. I belive the book was written in 1983.

Good Luck!

I usually don't offer homework help, but finding info on Rose Zar can be difficult.

From an interview with Eric A. Kimmel:

Is there a book you are most proud of writing?
