Yes, and I was genuinely surprised. I had to work late that night and when I came home I kind of saw this man behind the door. So, I punched him and turned on the lights, only to see it was my boyfriend and there were like thirty people in the next room screaming "SURPRISE!" I felt really bad, and incredibly embarassed. Plus, I was really tired from work and it was awkard to know all these people took time out of their busy lives to come surprise me.

A bunch of my friends and acquaintances planned a massive bar party for my 21st birthday. Sadly, I missed it. I had ways of getting my alcohol well before the age of 21, so naturally when I was completely bored the night before my birthday, I got smashed. My best friend spent the next day repeatedly calling my phone to invite me to the bar for my birthday. Since I was passed out, dead to the world, in my bed, I never woke up. I get yelled at the next day by my best friend for missing the surprise party I knew nothing about. Maybe had I known about it ahead of time I wouldn't have missed it! Talk about a backfire. Moral: Never underestimate an alcoholic's ability to get too drunk for anything. Even their own birthday party based on drinking!

when I turned 40. I thought it was funny. Again at 60 and I choked up a little for that one. Truly surprised both times.

Yes, when I turned 16, my best friend decided we'd go to the mall for the afternoon (it was a Saturday) - I was in a very bad mood, and on the way to the mall, she said that she forgot something at home. When we got there and I walked in - there were all our friends from school to surprise me - I felt like a jackass for acting in such a bad mood, and then happy and grateful for such a great friend.

Yes, I have had a surprise party one time. My friends rented a limo and took me to a restaurant. I kind of knew something was up, because my friend wanted to talk to my mom about two weeks before my birthday, then a few days before my birthday she wanted to call me mom again. I was really surprised about the limo though.

Nope. The only birthday surprise I got was my sister's fiance hitting on me. I'd much rather a surprise party.

specific it became my birthday final week, and my husband and my mum organised a great celebration to have fun it. i'm very pregnant, so all i in my view had to do became crawl into mattress as quickly as we've been given homestead from an afternoon spent spoiling me! My surprising husband took me out for the day and offered me an entire dresser of maternity equipment, and the rest my heart needed, at the same time as my mum and inlaws have been at our homestead installation issues. We have been given homestead and walked right into a houseful of people screeching chuffed birthday at me... I continually theory my husband became crap at surprises, yet he stored this one brilliantly nicely, as i did no longer have the slightest clue what he became making plans.. My mom additionally threw me events for my sixteenth, 18th and 21st many, some years in the past...

Yes, I have ! But I wasn't surprised, because I knew it was going to happen all 3 times ! I was happy, but I had to
act surprised because I didn't want to hurt anybody's feelings.

Hugs,
