Have you seen this?

I am appalled, never before in our history has our troops had to petition congress to not abandon them.

You say you support the troops, and congress, they are diametrically opposed at this point, so you have a choice

support our troops, those putting their lives on the line everyday, or support the commies in congress.

Good quote!

- I love quotes - of course I READ instead of watching TV and being told what to think

- and for those "Ive been there where were you?" guys lets cool the retoric a little, we are supposed to be a little more mature than the kids here.

"The trouble with our liberal friends is not that they're ignorant: It's just that they know so much that isn't so."

I so want to find that place where people think for themselves.

I would love for the enemies of liberty to lay down their arms and never attack us again.

Until then, give the troops the manpower and money they need to hold the line.

I have family out there . . .
This country has a duty to them.

If the enemy believes that dying at the hands of Americans gets them a ticket to heaven surrounded by willing and able virgins, then THAT is what emboldens the enemy, not anything reported by our media or our government. Sounds to me like these petitioners have fallen for the Bush propaganda and are being manipulated by the same.

If you support this president so much and believe in all that he is doing - why aren't you serving in Iraq? Why isn't our military overflowing with new Bush-supporting conservative recruits? There are at least 3 MILLION of you of fighting age here in America and yet our Army is stretched thin and stressed out from multiple and extended tours. If you believe in this war, isn't the best way to support the troops by joining them on the front lines?

Don't post this BS propaganda from manipulated and misled troops when you haven't the courage of your convictions to serve your country yourself, as I have, thank you very much.

I so agree. I am fed up with this trouble making worthless Congress. If they would shut their mouths and swallow their pride, this war may have ended in Iraq by now.

I quit watching the news, because they want to push their own political views....

NONE of us wanted this or any war, but as American's we ALL should stop supporting our enemies, by verbally attacking American's

"commies in congress","troops...petition" the last poll taken by Army Times showed 64% of the "grunts"in Iraq look at our involvement there as a mistake. perhaps the "special flavor" you mention is not to their liking?

Bring our American soldiers home. ALIVE. What better support can they have than this. Get your head out of the sand. Opposing Bush is not the same as not supporting our troops. Actually, opposing Bush is the same thing as supporting our troops. Bring them home ALIVE now.

Nice bit of reverse psychology in order to save face. Get out of there. And remember, much of the national malady is still in part still paying for the atrocities committed in other places under the guise of ' patriotism ' but really just military adventurism.

You ... do not sound like a grunt. There use to be a name for people like you. In the military. It's too impolite to mention here.

Maybe we ought to change it to Frank Burns or that guy ' Flagg '.

i support our troops by trying to take tham away from the control of the militarial industrial complex and keep bushes cronies from profitting from their deaths. troops work for U..S citizens, not the carlyle group, you may not be in iraq aymore, but your head is still in the sand

Yes, ask a grunt but make sure you talk with him/her without his/her superiors. Grunts will not publicly show their true feelings whenever the brass are around.

agree 100%, i miss the days when the president would send congressmen who sympathized with the enemy, into exile. lincoln sent some congressmen into exile into the south for their treason. How fitting would it be today. to send Murtha, Pelosi, Dean and Edwards into exile for treason and sympathy for the enemy in a time of war. Pelosi wouldnt have a problem with it, she went to syria (a state sponsor of terrorism) on her own accord. Im sure the libs would feel at home over there.

this war is bigger than iraq, afghanistan and iran. It is a war for our future. Our enemy has designs to infiltrate and take over the west, our "leaders" have designs to "withdraw", "disengage", and "end the war", who will win the war of wills? the ones blowing themselves up? or the ones who appease the enemy and give up, emboldening the enemy, and confirming their misconceptions that we are a "paper tiger".
