One hundred percent untrue.
Many landlords put it in the lease that a tenant can break th elease if they get a job offer in a far away place. And a few may have it where you get married you can break it for certain reasons...but this is unlikely.

There is no law that allows this...it would be illegal for a state to pass such a law...it violates the Constitution's protection of contracts. Its completely up to the landlord to accept these reasons.

If you signed a lease you are legally binded, if not you still have to give a 30 day notice if you want any of your deposit back

Of course not! Unless the lease specifically says you can leave if you get married or change jobs, you are stuck with it until it expires.

its completely up to the landlord, unless the person is in the military. there are laws in place that allow them to give up an apartment for long TDYs and change of duty station in the middle of a lease, but not for civilians

No. That doesn't change who you are. If you were the person who signed the lease, than it doesn't matter what happens in your life. You are still who you were.
