Is it so bad that I dont watch the news (aside from the daily show) I have no idea whats going on but I only do it because the news really depresses me. Is it so bad to people who keep up?

Although it is good to have a general idea of what is happening in the world, I can't blame you for limiting your exposure.
TV news, in my opinion, is not real news most of the time anyway. It is sensationalism and celebrities. Maybe that's why it depresses you.
I get my news elsewhere.

I dont watch the news

it isnt bad its just a personal choice
