Ish ...Anyone who tries to commit murder should be put on trial... i'm sure that this should apply to cluster bombing nations more than it should apply to 12 year olds throwing stones at tanks... which I doubt would be considered attempted murder ...in any normal country

If a person attacks a military force of any nation, they cannot complain when it is the same military force that deals with it. They must think themselves lucky that they were not shot when they attacked the Israeli military. Several children in Northern Ireland were killed by the British army in the past when the British army returned fire with rubber bullets after being stoned.
If you think they are only children and too young, consider that there is currently a Canadian citizen held by the Americans at Guantanamo after killing an American medic in Afghanistan who has been held since he was 15 and is now 20 and only just been charged and will face a military court. So don’t think that the Israelis are any different from other countries of the world.
Also if you don’t think that throwing stones is not that bad, remember a long time ago it was a means of execution, and it is also how Jon Venables and Robert Thompson (both 10 years old at the time) murdered James Bulger in 1993.

Unfortunately, the training and use of child soldiers is on the rise. Throwing rocks can be quite lethal, if low tech. I have seen 10-year-old boys throwing baseballs; they could be really dangerous with rocks.
These children need to be rehabilitated, not returned to the environment where they learned to do this.

ITV isn't shown in this country. Don't believe everything you see on the news. What do you suggest be done with people who try to commit murder?

I missed that. How awful. Stones are hardly a match for rifles and bullets, mortar shells and helicopter gunships.
