Google swap magic 3.6 it is a disk that if inserted will hack your firmware allowing you to play downloaded and burnt games that you of course have the original copys of.

be more specific - there are menus that allow you to make changes,
but if you mean physically altering like chipping your PS2 its not worth it. chipped games are of lower quality. they run at slower speeds , look wrong and are illegal.
for the Ps2 there are add-ons like ethernet adapters, that help you get online with many games, or ilink cables that allow the joining of two PS2s with two monitors. works great for timespilter games in multiplayer, and other games that support it.. There are other add-ons ,
