My wife is a size 4, and many people, including me, think that she is petite.:).

It depends on the height of the ladies!!!! If you are below 5'4" and is size 4 then you are average and can be considered as petite when compare with those 6 feet tall size 8 up ladies in Western world.
In Asia, a size 4 never would be considered as petite!!!
Women who are below 5'1" and below size 2, or even small then size 0 would be known as 100% petite here! We have millions here!!!

No, because a woman can be 6 feet tall and a size 4. Six feet tall is not petite.

Yes...to the real world but in the modeling world, that's considered fat. If you're not size 0 and under, you're a porker. So as long as you don't go into modeling you're ok.
