Being gay is NOT in your DNA... its in your mind...
Just like being straight is in your mind...
I would love to see the "straight" gene isolated in DNA...
Think about it... People can do all sorts of physical acts, or have any kind of emotional closeness, with any other person of ANY sex.. BUT it takes THAT person's MIND to think of themselves as "gay" or "straight"...

How do you know you are not gay? You seem pretty sure you are not, as of yet, sexually attracted to your own gender. Are you gay when you have sex with your own sex, or does it require a natural tendency to associate your own sex with sexual desire? Is this preference developed over time, or is the possibility for swinging built into our genes? I think, based on the variations I have encountered, that we are born within a grey zone, more or less biased towards straight or gay, and this gets settled with upbringing and circumstance.
So you will find people more inclined towards homosexuality not finding the space to embrace their tendencies and others, more inclined towards heterosexuality finding themselves in a situation where they are the object of another’s’ attraction of the same sex, finding it difficult to understand why they are not turned on by the other person with whom they share so much else with.
So, do it if you want, but there is no guarantee you will grow into it.

Current science suggests that one is born gay and most gay folks say they knew they were "different" from some point in childhood - many even in elementary school.
Psychology tells us very few people are 100% heterosexual; that most folks have the capacity to feel attracted to members of their own gender at some point in their lives (hence all the "experimentation" that is said to go on in college)
I guess the question is why do you want to "turn gay"? Do you think you might be? Are you feeling frustrated with dating those of your own gender? Young women have been known to state in frustration, "it would be easier if I were gay!" I suspect young men sometimes think that, too.
The thing is, it's not easy no matter who you are attracted to. Romance and human relationships are often difficult and complicated. No matter who you like, you're bound to get your heart broken, trust me (any woman will tell you, guys break our hearts all the time!) Also trust me when I tell you the heart can heal.

I don't think you "turn" gay. It's not like waking up and just deciding to go to the store.
Whether it's a genetic thing or a cultural thing, a lot of elements go into it. A lot of complicated elements go into it. How dare you trivialize the process of discovering one's sexuality by asking such a question and expecting such an easy answer!
If you truly think you might be gay, explore and find out for yourself. If not, let your gay friends be gay without you.
